Shorts Wrap Academy Partners with the Edinburgh Short Film Festival 2025

We are proud to announce a new partnership between Shorts Wrap Academy and the Edinburgh Short Film Festival (ESFF), one of the UK's leading festivals dedicated to short film. Now in its 15th year, ESFF continues to support and celebrate bold, original storytelling from around the world – and is now officially BIFA qualifying.

This collaboration marks a significant step forward in our shared mission to empower emerging filmmakers. Through this partnership, filmmakers submitting to ESFF 2025 will have the exclusive opportunity to receive a professional review of their completed short film from Shorts Wrap Academy – an international panel of acclaimed directors whose work has premiered at Cannes or Sundance.

Each review consists of a detailed, 500-word evaluation offering:

• Insightful artistic and technical feedback

• Constructive commentary tailored to the filmmaker's vision

• Industry-level perspective aimed at supporting creative and professional growth

The service is available for short fiction, animation, and documentaries with a maximum runtime of 40 minutes.
